Is This A P-lip?

As I am trying to figure out the terms for everything, I looked up p-lip but it seams the hole is underneath rather than on top.

The photos look wrong for a P-Lip, it is probably chewed or just worn, what pipe is it from, is it a Peterson, because there was many pipe makers that copied them and put the hole in a different place.

It's a Crown Monarch CR1. I bought it new and it was not worn or chewed when I got it.

I’ve seen a lot of estate pipes with the stem turned upside down. Seemed more common on danish non freehand pipes from my observation. Do you think the upturn was in response to smoking habits? Or the other way around? Or both?

This, its a knock-off P-Lip. More of a Pee Lip. There were loads of em, you often see that style with pre-molded replacement ""P-lip"" stems. The bottom is opened up because its been worn through with pipe cleaners or repeated buffing.
