Is the New Peterson Foursquare (444) a Permanent Shape?

SmokingPipes have a selection of a "new" shape by Peterson, the 444 Foursquare (shown below). According to Peterson Pipe Notes, this shape has only been seen in the 1937 catalog (Peterson 400 shape group – Peterson Pipe Notes - https://petersonpipenotes.org/tag/peterson-400-shape-group/) so I'm wondering if this is a one time drop for this shape, or is Peterson planning on producing these for a while. They look quite nice. Anyone heard anything about these?

@Revnatorade C.P.G. saw them at the factory when he was there but I didn't think he got any more info about them.

I sure hope they stick around because I think they're spot on for a foursquare (though I do wish the stems were ya tad shorter).

Maybe @swilford will chime in about their permeance.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I really like the shape and it would be nice to have a couple sturdy Foursquares other than my Merchant Service. Looks like they only had four styles at SP: Donegal Rocky, Harp Sandblast, Harp Smooth, and Dracula Sandblast. Probably had Dracula Smooth, too, but none were in stock.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I really like the shape and it would be nice to have a couple sturdy Foursquares other than my Merchant Service. They had some in the Kildare line: smooth finish, oversized band (which looked good though I'm not normally a fan of them), and a tapered plip stem that just looked wrong.

Yeah, I'm normally cool with a p-lip, but not on a Foursquare.

It'll be more than one drop (at SP and other retailers) since there's some inventory on hand still in some of the finishes, but from the factory's perspective it was a one time project so when we run out, they're done.

Of course, we reserve the right to resurrect the shape (again) at some point in the future, but I wouldn't imagine it would be anytime soon.
