When the manufacturing for Prince Albert and Carter hall switched to the Dominican Republic and the supplies were low you woulda thought they were esoterica blendsI’ve got 10 tins in my cellar with 2-3 years of age on it. Such a lovely blend.
Scarcity for blends come and go. I remember for a while when Peterson 3P’s was out of stock for the longest time and now it seems to never go out of stock. Same with Prince Albert and Carter Hall.
I think Louisiana Flake is sort of similar, as well as Hansom Flake. Is there any other G&H blend that is similar enough to it?
I'm not familiar with Hansom Flake but believe you are correct about Louisiane Flake. If I remember correctly, G & H started offering Stonehenge Flake under their own banner as LF.I think Louisiana Flake is sort of similar, as well as Hansom Flake.
I was let down by La Flake. I hope Stonehenge is better when I get around to itI'm not familiar with Hansom Flake but believe you are correct about Louisiane Flake. If I remember correctly, G & H started offering Stonehenge Flake under their own banner as LF.
While I think LF and Stonehenge are similar, I do not think they are the same blend. I would be surprised if they were. But, considering the inconsistencies between batches, and the fact that LF is sold in bulk, I suppose it could be possible.I'm not familiar with Hansom Flake but believe you are correct about Louisiane Flake. I smoked a bowl of the original 5 or 6 years ago and was absolutely entranced by it. You should enjoy it sooner rather than later.I still have a tin of the original from 2001, I think. Mebbe one of these days I'll get around to smoking it.
