I got a great birthday present this morning. I set my live trap in the garden to catch what I figured was a raccoon that has been eating my ripe tomatoes. Well there's a skunk in the trap right now, and I don't want to mess with it myself. I called Critter Control and they get $119 to handle the problem! 8O
Happy Birthday to me!

Oh, man. I do hate that for you!
However, even as stingy as I tend to be, I think $119 dollars to have someone else mess with the skunk is money well spent!
Happy birthday, anyway!

At my age birthdays stink anyway, but there is no freaking way on earth I'd wish to mess about with a skunk.
Happy Birthday!

Often the local city or county animal control or state division of wildlife will dispose of or relocate a live-trapped animal which might save the $119 fee.
Happy birthday.

Happy b-day Stan. You have been my mind the last few days as I enjoy the wonderful meerschaum you sent me. I am pretty picky and can't find anything I don't like about it, love the bowl size, the weight, the shaping and even the stem works great with my dentures. In short I am very happy.
As for the skunk, even if the price was double its better than dealing with a skunk....trust me :)

Happy b-day ya' old stinker! :D
I have more experience than I'd like with skunks. I had a dog that couldn't get enough of that spicy spray.

If he smelled one on the property and could get outside, it was dead. However, not before being sprayed point blank several times. Up close, it does not smell like skunk ... more like tear gas.

Labrador and skunk equals gallons of tomato juice bathing dog. Lab and opposition equals much noise as opposed plays dead and then moves
Happy birthday. Shel

Just got here. The skunk wasn't quite adult size and it died in the live trap by the afternoon, I'm guessing from heat and stress from trying to get out of the trap. Bad for the skunk, but good for my wife and me. I got rid of it this morning without any spray being released. BUT, more tomatoes were pulled off and eaten over night, so I re-baited the trap.

An intact hornets nest is worth good money. People display them. You usually don't even see them until all the leaves are down in the Fall.

Skunks can make great pets, I've read. Just like a dog...or a cat.
