Is Peterson in Trouble ?

I have read on another forum today that peterson blends met their demise, a provided link explaining something about them being taken over and a great number of blends being discontinued. I wasn't sure whether this is just rumours, or if there is some fact to this ... just wanted to check the gossip with you.
