So, do you remember yesterday when you related mindfulness to some sort of meditation? That was your memory.

My research was on female leadership. That
Doesn’t make me an expert.

Please understand , I’m not try by to change how you choose to think. For me, I don’t come to a pie forum for anything other than fun.
Yeh, I was about to explain that remembering is not the same as memory, and how memory is so many other things... but you're right. It's a pipe forum. But, the debate (or discussion) is very intriguing. I love discussing aesthetics, and this is in that ballpark.

The act of debate is not to change the other person's mind. It's actually an act of learning for both members. This would be the difference between an argument and a debate.

You have a PHD in Female Leadership? Surely I am not interpreting that right.

Imagination is escapism.
Sheer rebellion against the apparent mundaneness of our lives.
An ungrateful unwillingness to simply Let It Be.

Maybe as adults, I wouldn't say that for kids whose minds are still developing. When you get older imagination becomes more of a conscious act. When going to bed if I suddenly feel anxious I tend to imagine certain scenarios, like a cabin by a brook, or launching cacti out of a catapult into a cosmos which appears like moss flowing in all directions with the consistency of lava.

If you think I do, I won’t argue

It’s an endless struggle to stay in the present moment, it just keeps passing by. Most men are constantly awaiting the future, which has false promises to be better than the ‘here and now’. The present is all there is, the future is now, and the past is a story we tell ourselves. ;)
I agree, it is work. I once hiked a ten mile mountain loop and had the hardest time focusing. I was either thinking of the past week or what I had to do Monday morning. Over time I forced myself. I noticed more and had a better experience
