People used to own 1, 2, maybe 3 pipes. They would smoke them every day, day after day, without even thinking about rotation.
I can smoke the same pipe for days on end without any issue. Overnight, the pipe gets enough drying time.
I will even say I own way too many pipes than necessary. I`m thinking I shouldn't own more than 4, 5 pipes at the most. That's enough to last decades -if well taken care of.
I think rotating pipes is a marketing strategy to convince people to buy more pipes than required. More than anything else.
