Try one strand of tobacco first and let us know. Might scorch the bottom nicely. Tho, I don't recommend it. Full bowl all the time.
Oh yeah I mean tongue bite was the first thing I conquered. And it wasn't much effort as much as just feeling more cautious while smoking and going more gently because ouch. But the guys I know who like smoking like that (like three guys so even in a small group a minority) know they are the cause of the burnout. The burnout guys are a weird one to me. If you're paying any attention at all, you see it happening. Either the bowl is too hot to touch, you get funny flavors, or see the briar starting to discolor. If you see this happening, wouldn't even a dog alter its behavior? Even if you didn't care about the pipe at all, don't you care about the foul taste? I get how quick burnouts happen, like the fabled guys who would smoke while riding their motorcycle and burnout a pipe in a handful of miles, but for the slow burnouts, what's going on there?
I would think that temperature and relative humidity play a part as well. Living in an extremely humid environment and smoking outdoors in cold weather is going to produce condensation, as I have experienced firsthand.Smoking too fast and hot will get you there as well not to mention wet tobacco.
Pack more loosely to allow the ember to burn off the excess moisture.I would think that temperature and relative humidity play a part as well. Living in an extremely humid environment and smoking outdoors in cold weather is going to produce condensation, as I have experienced firsthand.
As for me too.Same but only 31 and a half years.
YepHowever, I think a lot of Youtubers and stuff online is nonsense.
I never even thought to ask the question so I hope not? Though most of my pipes are cobs, not a lot of $ in them.Hi guys can I know if it's okay to smoke a full bowl of a new pipe ? Like would it damage the pipe in the long run ?
Thanks
I don't think it matters. I have a Pear wood, Briars, cobs, and some Chinese cheapos, I don't even know what they're made of (probably something toxic), and I haven't had an issue.I never even thought to ask the question so I hope not? Though most of my pipes are cobs, not a lot of $ in them.
