I use twisted up napkins as they absorb the moisture much better than a pipe cleaner. Put it in, invert to clean out the dottle from the bowl and ready to go.I’ve recently started collecting systems. They’re quickly becoming the pipes I reach for the most. I like the higher grade Pete’s for the vulcanite stems and aesthetics.
One thing to keep in mind is cleaning a system is just a bit more messy. Ideally you’ll want both a bristle and non bristle cleaner. Use the non bristle to soak up all the condensation that’s accumulated in the system reservoir. I bend the ends into U shapes for better absorption. This is the first step, once it’s extracted then go about dumping ash and using the bristle brush cleaner as you normally would.
