I don't know its whole history or how authentically Irish it is, but I really enjoy the current Murray's 1810 Belfast. A nice mildly sweet, slightly aromatic blend with a touch of latakia.
I visited for the first time a few years ago when I went on a hiking tour of the Kerry Way in County Kerry with a couple old pals. It was an awesome tour where we'd hike 12-15 miles a day (mostly flat) from one bed and breakfast to another, and a car would bring our luggage separately to the places. Mostly just sheep and scenery during the day, and then we'd usually end up in a small town in a nice pub in the evening. Really awesome:
