I think perhaps you are the only human being on planet earth that carves Jack-o-turnips for Halloween 😂

Never even heard of such a thing but I gotta say it looks kinda cool
The Pumpkin is part of the historical Texafication of things that happens in American history. Everything is bigger in Texas. Kind of like how American Italian food is awesome and just bigger then Italian food is. Basically just got updated to something native when people came over here.

My wife is Irish, and they’ve always terrified her since she was young. She says she’s in Canada now so she’s all for the happy pumpkins. Lol. I carve them purposely for her just because she hates them and I’m ‘taking the piss’ as she says.

She shared the video below with me. I pissed myself laughing. Hopefully it gets a chuckle out of you guys. Sounds just like my wife talking about them.

I’ve just spent the morning at the local school talking with the kids about all the different cultural traditions that weave into how we celebrate All Hallows’, even those down under (which obviously fall in at a different time of year). This was exactly the laugh I needed while enjoying an unwind bowl.

Thanks for sharing!!
