This is my first tobacco review, and as I have only been smoking a pipe for a little over a month I hope that you will excuse any flaws you find in this review.
I ordered a can of Irish Blessing from Smoking Pipes, this is a Cornell and Diehl brand. I bought it because in the description it talked about how it tasted like Irish Mist, a liqour I really enjoy...really enjoy!
I was pretty excited when I opened the box and I waited for a full day before I even opened up the can, but I have to say the aroma of the can was wonderful. Its aroma was close to Irish Mist as anything I have ever smelled. The color of the tobacco in the can was mostly black and dark brown, the online description says that it is an all black blend that tastes like Irish Mist right to the bottom of the bowl.
It was a little moist and I had a hard time getting it to stay lit, probably more from my own inexperience than anything else. But I have to say that once I got it lit, it was really pretty good. All through the bowl I kept getting hits of coconut and chocolate, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It almost came across tasting like bailey's irish cream. It was not overwhelming at all but really enjoyable. It took me about an hour to finish the bowl, I smoked it in a barber b line, bent bulldog.
It made my tongue tingle a couple of times while I was lighting or re-lighting it but it was really a delightful smoke and I would recommend it highly. I hope this helps and I intend to buy some more as soon as I can. Happy Smoking :puffpipe:

I got that when I ordered a tobacco sampler from them and didn't care for it... Ended up tossing out a little under 2 oz of the stuff, actually there are only a couple of tobaccos I like from C &D

I'll have to give it a go on your recommendation. I enjoy an occasional Irish whiskey!

Chocolate and coconut.... mmmmmmm
Let us know if you get more flavor once you let it dry out a bit!

Thanks for your review. C&D's Irish Blessing has been on my want-to-try-it list for quite a while but I haven't pulled the trigger on ordering some - too many other open blends I need to finish first.

I'd suggest letting some sit out in the open on a paper towel for a couple hours before putting it in your pipe, then pack it fairly loosely. Chances are it'll burn a lot better & there'll be less chance for tongue bite.
