Greetings ladies and gentlemen. Re-entering piping after a long hiatus. Began piping in 1970 and quit for decades. Now enjoying smoking pipes again and really learning the history and lore of pipe smoking. Looking forward to learning from you all. PapaPiper

That sounds like me. A lot of my friends were chewing tobacco and plenty more were cigarette smokers. Chewing, I thought, was nasty and cigarettes smelled dreadful. But I came across a small filtered apple-bowled straight stem that I had for 20+ years and a pouch of Borkum Riff. At around 16-years old, I felt so sophisticated! Luckily I stayed with it over the years.
