Paul F. Dorion here and good day to all. I now live in Altona, Manitoba, Canada which is about 25 km from the North Dakota. I am a former U.S. Marine even if I am now a Canadian citizen ( I fell in love with a French-Canadian girl after I got out of the Corps in 1968 and I guess you can say that I followed her home) I have been smoking a pipe since 1970. My first pipe was purchased at Blatter Brothers in Montréal and for over 40 years that was the only place that I bought my pipes and tobacco until I discovered online purchasing, online forums, online Facebook groups and online YouTube pipe channels. So I pretty much smoked Mac Baren's blends almost exclusively now I enjoy the C&D English, blends as well as Peter Stokkebye Flakes, the Sutliff's English Matches and the wonderful Samuel Gawith and Hogarth Gawith blends. I often feel pretty much isolated as a pipe smoker where I live since it would seem that I am almost the only pipe smoker in town who is still alive!!! They do not even stock pipe tobacco in any of the local stores anymore and the closest B&M store is in Winnipeg which is a 150 km round trip... and I do not own a vehicle anymore.
