Hello everyone

Been a cigar smoker for 15 years. I was introduced to pipe smoking and pipe tobaccos a few months ago by my cousins husband. He makes his own pipes and gifted me one and it's been full education mode since.

What pipes have done for me in the few short months I have been smoking them is what I have spent the last 15 years searching for in cigars. It's been a great start and look forward to reading and conversing with all here.

...Who's your friend when things get rough???!!!! Hahaha. Where in Eastern WA? My Dad grew up in Ephrata, and he and I both went to Washington State University in Pullman for undergrad. Welcome from Knik River, Alaska!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Ephrata... I know it well! Lived in Brewster and currently in the process of moving to Spokane. The guy who gave me his handmade pipe is from Alaska, rather just moved from Anchorage. Great looking pipe and started me on a process I can't slow down...

Oh, shit, yeah Brewster is what 50 miles from Ephrata? You're right in there. Center of the known universe, hahaha.

We used to drive up to SpoCompton all the time from WSU. We would get all fucked up and go to Sonic, since we all came from places that didn’t have one. It was a horrible and garish display of gluttony and excess. I remember often arriving back at campus, and running to my dorm room to immediately blast shit.

Worth it.

Great to have you hear. I had a similar epiphany after enjoying cigars for many years and picking up my pipe relics. I can still enjoy a cigar, but rarely do when I have so much more in pipes.

Born and raised in SpoCompton myself. No longer living there though. I traded it in for the hell of California. The weather is better here, but that's about it.

Be sure to swing by Tobacco World in the old Flour Mill. It's the only decent pipe shop in town.

I went to college in San Diego, but that is the last time I may ever be in California!

Been meaning to get to the flour mill. Went to a tobacco store on North Division, but didn't seem to be my cup of tea. Shady and really had the hairs on my neck standing up. I have a good friend in Idaho who is a tobacco mule for me. ;)
