There are a lot pipes in my corner of the world , which intrigue for one reason or another, sometimes even I don't know what the reason is, but I just can't help it. Most of the pipes I try to keep or pass on to friends as gifts or trades, but they are just too many...
Also several people wrote me asking to see my personal collection.
I love sharing my passion for pipes, so instead of flooding the forum with obnoxious threads about this pipe or the other, I decided to compile everything into one thread for anyone interested to follow along.
I will try to post one to two pipes a day with a few words about them. These pipes will only be pipes that are or were in my possession at some point. Not all of them will be crazy or expensive for that matter but they all felt special to me in some way.

Dr Plumb Perfect Pipe
This is probably the luckiest pipe out there - it had so many issues that it was passed to me as trash that I was supposed to use for spare parts or just throw away.IMG_3150.jpegIMG_3154.jpegIMG_3157.jpegIMG_3152.jpeg
Thankfully I didn't do any of those things, instead I decided to put in some hours of charity work and although never finished the restoration completely, it was enough for this little guy to be able to find a new home and someone who still to this day gets joy from smoking it. I gotta love a happy ending...

Rattray's Copper
This was the second pipe I have ever owned and if you are a beginner reading this looking for a good afordable new factory pipe, trust me and get yourself one of these. It looks great in my opinion with a really nice blast, nice stain and a beautiful copper ring, it also smoked superbly, no matter what tobacco I put in it, or how wrong my smoking and packing technique was at that time. It was half the price of my first pipe a 150euro savinelli and it was at leas twice as good.DSC04036.jpgDSC04037.jpgDSC04038.jpgDSC04039.jpgDSC04041.jpg

Anton Manger Free Hand
I add this pipe only because of a comment a German collector and good friend of mine made about Mr Manger recently after he saw a lot of pipes sent to me for restoration:

Aproximate translation - God, what a stoned carpenter...🤣🤣🤣
To be honest, I actually like this specific pipe...

Kiko Caveman Meerschaum
A pipe that puzzles and confuses people all the time, including me quite early in my pipe restoration "career". You will find it listed on eBay as a "broken" pipe; as someone's uncles unfinished project pipe; as a legendary meerschaum pipe carver's first unfinished pipe he started carving at the age of 4... people's imagination also plays a role in their pricing too - I have seen it listed on eBay starting from 5 euros and up to 1500 eur (if I find the screenshot I will add it here)

Ok before I continue with today's pipes, I need to show one of my favourite pipe stands. Also some of the pipes I will be showing are part of my private collection but I haven't had the time to restore them yet. This way I will finally deal with the problem of me forgetting to take before photos...

Dunhill Bruyere 3108 Silver Spigot from 1988
This stunning pipe also marks the beginning of my birth year pipe collection. at first I didn't get the whole birth year thing, but now I do - it's a bit like the zodiac signs, if you believe in that crap, you are born at a specific time and you are basically stuck with whatever fate has decided for you.
