My oldest stepdaughter is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. She has always had pretty hair so she wasn't looking forward to losing it. She found this thing called an ice cap that you wear while get the chemo treatment and for a few hours afterwards. I guess there are different brands, but I would say that they would all be rather uncomfortable and make you cold for a while. She bundles up with blankets while wearing it, and oh did I mention it uses dry ice! It's hard for me to objective about this as already have little hair left, but it seems to be working for her. Just something to think about if you know someone that has a bit of a vanity streak that might like to try it.
Here's two pics of her, first time wearing it, and after two chemo treatments. I'm not sure if it will work for the rest of the chemo, but she's hoping so. PS, She's 62 years old. No joke!
