Saw this. Funny, it’s marketed as Elephant Ivory. It’s clearly a St Pat’s pipe. The ugly avocado year. The elephant pipe is Meerschaum, Not ivory. And listing it as Ivory, will only get the seller banned, as there’s a strict, “no ivory sales” ban on EBay.

Yes. Might as well put.... “it’s illegal, but who cares”.?
He put an addendum that the pipe is “less than 5% ivory” (assuming the “ivory” is the tusks, which are more than likely something else, like whale bone, or walrus), and “made before 1900”.
So seller KNOWS pipe is meer not ivory. The pre 1900 bit matters not, as it’s a matter of Ebay policy not US legality.
