Lightning, earthquakes, etc. All in realtime.

Stuff that until a few years ago was rarely---if ever---caught on tape, but the "everyone has a video cam in their pocket" era changed overnight.

(My only gripe is the kid doing the commentary knows nothing at all about tornadoes... it's embarrassing)

Some of the clips in the OP are impressive, like when the man forgets his wallet and leaves his car right before a tree crashes by it.

I had a highschool friend who was giant sized for a highschool kid in my memory. He would be like a lineman in build, and quite strong. Probably he had Scythian ancestry. He came from the Caucasus region where there has been occasional fighting over the decades, and he went back there after about 2 years in my school. Within a few more years, I got a letter from his family saying that he had died when a tree fell on his car. It sounded like such a freak accident that I've never been totally sure what to make of it. I did keep in touch with his family alittle bit over the years and never heard differently from them.
