I have to fight not to fall into the glorious Savinelli 904 trap...because I like this basic Kriswill shape so much, and they seem like cousins to me...
Different shot. All of these are in various states of restoration. A couple are finished--the rest are a mixed bunch. Some need simple cleaning, others need stems rebuilt...it's happy work that keeps me busy. I'm always on the lookout for the smaller versions (the top two). I like the Chiefs, but it's actually the smaller 'Comfort' pipes that really call to me.
Quick! Someone hide this thread before Chasingembers sees.... oh... too late.
I've looked at these a few times and I'm surprised I haven't snagged one yet. I love the shape.
I like that shape too, and have a very similar Kriswill which is more of the pick-axe variety and is stamped Made in Norway, from when Lillehammer bought them out. It has a really nicely shaped stem that I do not see on many of the these shapes.
Yeah, it's a wonderful shape. But I don't bid very high via Ebay. There are many out there looking for new homes & if you're willing to patient, can be picked up for a reasonable price. Most of mine need to be rehabbed--which is partially why I'm able to get deals. I don't mind putting in the effort to restore a pipe. I prefer it generally, to give these lovely old workhorses a second chance.
Here's the ugly truth about their various restoration needs, including some total bit rebuilds:
Here's a busted Kriswill I've had for years, finally got around to repairing it

Guess I still haven't figured out how to get pic to appear
I really like the shape of those. Chasing got me excited about the yacht shapes as well. I wouldn't call it a sickness, but I feel like I am catching a bit of the PAD's. The Kriswill blasts are awesome!
