@madox07 -- I forgot this, the pipe I will send you is with "no strings attached", if one day you find something I would like okay, if not enjoy the added pipe to your collection.

And I am pretty sure DuPont did not themselves make any smoking pipes!

I have a Falcon #3 for trade with briar bowl. Probably something else laying around. I'll check.

Looking forward to it! I do love unusual estates. I'll find you a good shop pipe from the collection, I use pipes in my shop constantly.

I have looked into the topic a bit, since we started discussing it in this forum. There actually seems to be two distinct DuPonts here. The DuPont signed on the pipe matches the logo of the DuPont corporation that started as a gunpowder mill back in 1802 and has grown since into the multinational conglomerate we know today. The pipe is probably made by a pipe manufacturer, and was stamped with the DuPont logo and given away as a gift to employees, for some sort of occasion. I am sure that you have seen this before - probably the best example that comes to mind right now are John Deer zippo lighters. Any road, the second DuPont, or better yet S.T. DuPont (ST standing for Simon Tissot), is a luxury goods company that originated in Savoy 1872, and today it makes lighters, pens, handbags so on and so forth. I thought to share this info on the group ...

The pipe arrived fast, I've smoked it twice now. Thin walled brier, and a giant button, but smokes cool which prevents the walls from overheating too much. The giant button will have to get some getting used to. Not really going to use it a lot, but keep it as a aromatic pipe, (don't have many of them). Great dealing with coffinmaker and hope he enjoys the pipe I sent.
