Inexpensive Pipe Display/Storage Case

I've seen this case mentioned a couple times in older threads, and decided to try it out myself. For about $24 on Amazon, you can get 'sunglasses cases'. The one I bought was called the "ProSource 18 Slot Sunglasses Organizer Box Stand Display Case/Tray, Fabric Lined & Snap Close". The compartments are approximately 2x2x6", so fit most 'standard' pipes.

I really like this a lot for home use. I can easily see all of my pipes, can leave it out and angled for display, and I can also close it up for compact and dust-free storage. Best $24 I've spent on pipe storage for sure.

I have something similar which was a tray for 8 glasses. It was 2 trays for $16 but didn't have lids (which is what I was looking for).

Ali Express has a bunch of that sort of thing too. I took a quick glance. Mostly becuase most of that kind of stuff is made in China to begin with. Good idea. They also have carnuba wax blocks on the cheap.

That looks like a great idea. I have most of my active pipes on/in an antique desk. Most are in racks on top and inside but not al a dozen or so are stuffed in the desk's cubbies in their bags.

I bought 6 of the 18 slot sunglass cases. I like them.

You can get one with black fabric but they are $50.

I prefer wood. My brother is a woodworker and made me a sliding glass walnut display case for my 50th. Holds over 150 pipes. I'm amazingly lucky!

I keep my pipes in a cigar box, B&Ms often sell empty ones for a couple bucks. I'll probably get a rack down the road but I've found keeping them in a box keeps PAD at bay because it's limited space. I could always get another one but I won't

When we moved, I knew my oak bow front cabinet likely wouldn't have survived the move. The glass let my vulcanite stems oxidize and it was too large for our new home.
