In the quest to learn as much I can about my favorite tobaccos, I ordered five 1oz. samples of the most popular basic tobaccos used for blending.
Turkish
Perique
Black Cavendish
Eastern Carolina (Va.)
Latakia
The aroma of each of the five samples, as you know is very distinct and very different from the rest. I can now open a jar of one of my favorite tobaccos, take in the aroma of it's blend, and at the same time take in the aroma of one of it's components allowing me to now be able to pick out that particular component-tobacco's contribution to the blend.
Wish you could smell them! (Especially that Latakia!)
