Wait, you’re the same age as Jesse and Jim, or you were born in ‘87…..
I was born when the Beatles finished The White Album.
It does seem like PMF trends older, PSD is more of a mix, and speakeasy is younger (though I’ve never checked it out). This thread is quite interesting, in all other aspects of my life no one has suggested I was "young" for quite a while. I'm one of the older people where I work, I'm considered to be a subject matter expert in my field by most of my colleagues, I have more grey in my beard than not, I have coworkers young enough to be my kids who themselves have kids which means I am technically old enough to be someone's grandfather. I've been smoking a pipe for nearly 20 years and collecting them for nearly 13. But among this crowd I am by a pretty wide margin with a few exceptions one of the youngest people here. What I find even more strange about this is that at pipe shows like Chicago I do not find this to be the case, the demographic is actually fairly spread out with me being somewhere in the middle.
I wonder if this is due to a pretty vast swath of my generation favoring FB over the forum format? The 50 and under crowd are definitely the minority around this place. I'm not complaining, I like it here. Just pointing out the facts.
I graduated high-school that year so even though it's not my birth year it's still a good year.
Speakeasy sounds a little hipstery to me... I've lurked in PSD a few times but wasn't overly impressed. It does seem like PMF trends older, PSD is more of a mix, and speakeasy is younger (though I’ve never checked it out).
A fine vintage!1972 And I'm the best looking guy on the forum. Simong told me so. View attachment 234569
When men are no longer older than you.I'm in my 40s and what has surprised me since sometimes since my 30s is that some older guy will occasionally refer to me as "young man". Can anyone here tell me when I can expect that to completely cease?
Probably when are the oldest man on earth lol.I'm in my 40s and what has surprised me since sometimes since my 30s is that some older guy will occasionally refer to me as "young man". Can anyone here tell me when I can expect that to completely cease?
Never, even when you die at 120, some fool will say "a life cut short" or some such banal drool. Last week I got called "young man" by a 90 something.I'm in my 40s and what has surprised me since sometimes since my 30s is that some older guy will occasionally refer to me as "young man". Can anyone here tell me when I can expect that to completely cease?
