If you don't think your ready for college but you can tackle Corpsmen training let me tell you this. Military training is like college but much faster paced. In my MOS Biomedical Equipment Technician we go through a semesters worth of material every block which is 17 days, there are 12 blocks. Its very challenging and mentally taxing.

I think Johnnyxpipe hit the nail on the head about the pace. I learned (HAD to learn) Mandarin Chinese in 48 weeks, including speaking, listening, and reading/writing over 1500 characters, followed by 4 months of cryptology/intel training.
So buckle up, Buttercup!

If you don't want to do all that studying and stuff just tell 'em you want to be a deck ape or a snipe.

Yup a "Snipe" is a bird you'll never see... :D

Without them.... shudder... no Navy... no Fly-Fly Boys...

Not something I like to think about.

:worship: Those guys below decks.

I had a guy once tell me a story of when he joined the Navy...the first day his drill sergeant asked the recruits what the Navy stood for to which there, of course, came no reply..."NEVER AGAIN VOLUNTEER YOURSELF!!! Welcome to hell..."...and so began his Navy career...I must've listened a little too attentive to that story because I never signed up for military service, unfortunately...all that to say...GOOD LUCK MRMCCARTHY, ENJOY THE CRAP OUT OF IT AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY...GOD BLESS!!!...college is overrated...you'll always have time to go back to school and listen to blow-hard professors that have lost touch with reality...lol

84 to 88 . They will teach how to fold your clothes really small . I once worked in a wharehouse in great mistakes that issued Ricky recruit uniforms in between schools . The place had a mini train inside of it , it was that big . I wonder if they still pass out Brasso .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZsERX844Tg
