I picked up some Largo Original 1/2oz, And it didn't taste bad... However it didn't taste good. And being the experimenter I'am, I took to the kitchen. The tobacco was a bit on the wet side so I popped it in the oven at 200f for about 5 minutes. I then added 2 tsp of vanilla extract, 4 pinches of brown sugar and 2 pinches of fresh mint. I mixed it all up without crumbling up the dryed tobacco. Once it was rehydrated, I put it back in the over at 200f for 3 minutes. I then sifted the tobacco to remove any excess brown sugar and powdered tobacco.
After that I jarred it up using heat to seal the can & waited about a week. It still has a bit of a spicy taste to it, But it's alot sweeter and not as harsh.

I got some Largo on my first purchase run. I smelled it and closed it back up. I don't know where it is now. Good luck on finding some good stuff, sir!

I found a place here in town with an assortment of Captain Black blends, I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on those? So far I'm seeing that the White blend is pretty well liked. I tend to like a sweeter taste.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of wonderful pipe tobaccos that are just a click away. In fact, I think it's safe to say that there have never been more quality pipe tobaccos available than there are right now. I'd encourage you to try just about any one of them before settling for an OTC blend. (But, then, I'm not a fan of any of the OTC blends. Although I know many here are.)
I'm not really an aromatic smoker -- I dip into one every few months or so -- so I'm not the best one to make suggestions. 1Q is a good starting place. But tell us what you're looking for, and I'm sure others here could help you come up with a list of additional options.

At the moment money is tight for me, Sadly enough that I won't be able to order for awhile (debt it a terrible thing). I'm looking to try a wide range of tobaccos & try to find which one suits me best. I do like ones with a higher nicotine content, I'd love to get ahold of 5 brothers tobacco... but funds are tight at the time being. But then again, I'm open to any and all suggestions as I'm just starting out.
