I remember seeing you post alot of briar pipes that favor that shape. Kind of a horn/dublin hybrid. No horns, the one above is a bent dublin, here's the others so far. Still need to get a Summer and Winter IMP.

I'd have to look it up for the exact number, but it's in the mid 400s.How many smokes would you estimate have been through that skull now?
Ah, the Savinelli 904/9004/914/9005s. Savinelli calls them yachtsmen, but they're really just bent dublins. Got rid of all of those but one recently.I remember seeing you post alot of briar pipes that favor that shape. Kind of a horn/dublin hybrid.
Had to refresh my memory...I went back and looked at the meer thread...that one was the Turkish Cob lol.I didn't know you had that top one with the tan stem too.
I've taken to calling all of my meers that. Really confuses people I work with.?Had to refresh my memory...I went back and looked at the meer thread...that one was the Turkish Cob lol.
I should probably mention that I ream the chamber every night with a pocket knife to keep the cake from building.

Exactly.Seems like that would preserve the permeability and encourage coloring, no?
Dottle yes but I started thinking that the moisture from the wipes was being absorbed and may dilute the coloring. I just wipe the chamber and airway with Q-tips prior to loading and ream at night with a California clip blade. You still leave the dottle in till the next smoke and then wipe out with unscented alcohol free baby wipes?
All but one.Edit...WTF?! You got rid of all the yachtsmen!
Yeah there’s no way you’ll be letting that special pipe go. Nothing like memoriesAll but one.
You know the one. Were I to go down to only one pipe, it would be that one.?Yeah there’s no way you’ll be letting that special pipe go. Nothing like memories
