I'm the only pipe smoker I know personally, so...

My wife hates the smell of smoke. I generally smoke my pipe outside while at work. Just before coming home, I was my hands and face and pop a breath mint in my mouth. I never hear a complaint (and believe me...she'd complain).

i do not know what it is but i get the opposite reaction as most of yall. i have been told that i smell like " a MAN" whatever that means women are always asking me what i am wearing and when i say its my morning pipe they do not know what to say. my mother however stands by it smelling awful but if she were to be honest she would say its just because she does not like smoke.

My wife hated the smell of cigarette or cigar smoke on my hair and clothes. She says she doesn't notice the pipe smell. Most of what I smoke has a pretty faint room note though.

You could always just splash a handful of Axe on yourself, and cover it up with some Febreeze and Lysol all over your clothes. Then, you will be the most flammable person around, a walking HAZMAT.

I have had afew strangers tell me I smell good and it reminds them of an older family member. The fact that I wear Old Spice cologne may be a contributing factor in that as well ha.
As long as your loved ones approve in the end thats all that matters, right? Can't please everyone.

The lingering scent is why I tend to smoke Aros at work and when I am out. People don't find the scent of vanilla or flowers offensive, lol. I smoke my English blends at home, since the wife likes the way they smell, and when I am doing yardwork, since the tobacco smells better than I do.
