Funny you should mention Weber. I was looking at a Blue Dog and a Silver Bell. I ordered a Tung Sol tube and I am doing an open back mod to pull some of the nasal quality out of the crunch channel. The clean tone already sounds great.

that's cool baronsamedi ... sounds like you're suitably inspired.
I stopped playing a long time ago, but if I were going to pick it back up again, I would try and play along with some MIDI files on my PC, for the sake of playing in-tune and on beat.
That's probably the hardest thing I ever encounter while playing guitar, was consistently staying on beat for minutes at a time ... always found it hard unless I was playing a song I knew so well, I knew how it should sound.
