I joined both groups and left messages on both. Craig and Patty are super people and I'm glad they have fan clubs on Facebook. They have contributed immeasurably to the pleasure I have gotten from pipe smoking.

Ah crap. Thanks for the correction Nemrod. I changed my link in the top post.
Someone at C&D messaged me to post up about their page, but he didn't give me the link to it, so I searched on it and found the wrong one.

I rarely go on Facebook. So I guess my question is why would someone friend a business? I love the C&D products but do not understand the Facebook thing.

Why would a business want friends? Because friends are significantly more likely to buy more product. Yes, I learned some things in my marketing class.

Thy post things like announcements to new products, reviews of old products, coupon codes, sales, and general trivia. I love it when a company is run by people instead of hiding behind a corporate facade.

Like on Twitter, the owner of Levenger mentioned he was riding a bicycle down A1A in FL and I'm familiar with that area. I tweeted him back to be careful, wear his helmet, and to have fun. He sent me a message back thanking me for the concern and promising to be safe. 5 minutes is all it takes to make a customer feel important.

The first time I ever placed an order with Chris at C&D, he threw in a free sample of an extra blend for me and told me "Welcome to the family." Even though a lot of C&D blends don't agree with me, I love the way they do business and I love that they produce a quality product.

I was really hoping to hear more about that dog's kidney stone... ahh, well... thanks for the link, Kevin. I will hie myself on over to Facebook. I like my C&D tobaccos, so if I can help give some support, most cool.
