I'd get 10 tins of Bohemian Scandal and sell them on eBay and buy 100lbs of something i like. Hey-o!!!
I'm interested to see where this goes. I need to learn the names of the classics so I can get with the program.

I like a lot of the PS stuff.. In fact I would be OK with just having access to PS but I figures I should go for hard to get expensive stuff that I like when it's free.

I don't know enough at the moment to answer this intelligently, so I'll have a laugh when I look back on this in a few years.
At the moment, I'm smoking McClelland blends and Plumcake. I'll say: 10 pounds of Vanilla Black Cavendish, 5 pounds of Frog Morton, FM On The Town and FM On The Bayou, and 5 pounds of Plumcake.
That should do me for a while.

Blame it on me being new to pipe smoking and not having developped my taste yet, but even if I've tried 10 different blends so far, to me nothing beats the ol Cap'n!

peace, from what I've experienced, this will change. I, like you, found Captain Black (White for me) to be excellent, which it is, if only for starting out. Once I was officially bit by the TAD (Tobacco Acquisition Disorder) bug, I wanted to try other things. I found many other blends that surpass CBW.
I suggest trying Lane Ltd.'s 1-Q. It may go by other "house" names at your local tobacco shop, but it is similar to CB, but has enough "complexity" (if you want to call it that) to keep you interested in it.
I'm sure eventually, you'll want to see what all of the hub-bub is about with other blends and end up trying them, and perhaps find a new blend that can't be beat. I'm not saying this will definitely happen, but my guess is many pipe smokers started out the way we did, and have graduated to blends that their "palates" can appreciate. I know I'm on my way...
