Love the ideas, but if you decide not for pipes . . .

Given the theme of your room (and don't need tools as such), maybe sand them down, apply a nice dark finish that harkens back to the Revolutionary War days and use them on the wall on either side of a nice sized piece of wall art (print or painting) that catches your eye and is consistent with the theme of your room, you could even on a temporary basis put some nice period looking candles on them to light once in awhile, for "mood" and to highlight the art. Probably a little time consuming, though, with all the detail on the pieces.

Until you make up your mind on all the possibilities --- regal doorstops!

This is probably the route I'll go. They already have the brackets on the back to hang them on the wall. If I keeping getting more busts, I'm going to need a bigger room. I currently have 2 large Jefferson's, 1 large Washington, 1 large Franklin, 1 small Jefferson and I gave my son a medium Lincoln.
