"Trying to Come Up With a Way to Turn These Solid Wooden Eagles Into Pipe Racks. Any ideas?"

I have four of these solid wood block eagles that came out of a bank building. They were mounted on the wall and held thick wooden rods (curtain rods), you'll see the holes in the pics. I got them for free about a year ago thinking I can re-purpose them into pipe racks. I've given this a lot of thought and had some ideas, but I'm not that crafty and I don't have the proper power tools.

They're carved out of solid blocks of wood and they measure 8"h x 6"d x 5"w. Each one weighs just under 3 lbs.

I have a few ideas. Wall mount the eagles and attach a wooden shelf across the top for a pipe rack. Or perhaps make a pipe rack between the two eagle...a table top pipe rack. Or with a lathe turn a piece of wood to fit the holes with pipe holders on each side of the eagle (the eagle sits between the pipes). Or just leave them the way they are and mount one to a wall and set a pipe or two on top.

Any ideas/suggestions? Any woodworkers out there who might be interested in these eagles? I'm not trying to sell them. Maybe I can send someone with some woodworking talent all 4 eagles and you can make two racks or maybe four, one for you and one for me. We can discuss some kind of deal/plan. PM me if your interested. Thanks for looking.

One issue with the weight of these eagles is they seem a little top heavy. The bases are quite a bit smaller than the tops. Mounting them on a board would make them more stable for a tabletop rack.

A wall rack is probably the best option.

I also like Mike Thompson's idea. Pipe cabinet legs.
