I usually just cut off a chunk of rope and then cut that into little pieces with a knife. And then I let it sit a bit to dry before packing. This looks like an interesting method worth trying.

You're welcome! I plan on trying it myself. I'll have to invest in a good cigar cutter. I get a decent cut with my knife, but not as thin as he does in the video. That's why I usually cut off a bit and then just cut that piece into smaller pieces.

You don't need a good one. The cheapest $3.50 cutter from SP will get the job done very nicely.

The cheap plastic handled cigar cutters that I have were just thrown in free with my cigar orders. One had the blades separate while I was trying to cut the dence heavy rope with them. So, I have just been using my pocketknife. I need to get me a nice one like in the video, something that doesn't "feel" as flimsy.

A double blade will work much better than a single blade cutter. The single blade will not make a clean cut at the bottom of the rope because it has nothing to push against,it will push the leaf into the gap in the cutter. If you cut a cigar with a single blade, leaving the cello on the cigar will get you a clean cut on the cigar because the cello will be the last thing the blade pushes against.

I cut coins with the cigar cutter, then cube cut the coins.

I cut the coins into quaters. Never could get stacked coins to burn well. I'll give this method a go, nice post thanks

Cigar scissors are the way to go! Cuts nice thin coins like a champ...
