These two soon-to-be beauties arrived in the mail yesterday! A pair of Mayfair. IIRC, Mayfair is a Sasieni second, which has me very excited to clean them up and see how they smoke. I was surprised to see that they both are non-removable stinger stems. I will post more pics once they are cleaned up.

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, I really do, and I'm not trying to be snarky, but the Sasieni Mayfair pipes are marked: Sasieni

Mayfair

London Made
with either a -S-, a S within a sheild, or a M on the stem. When you see Imported Briar on a pipe it is usually from North America.

dmcmtk, that's good to know. Regardless of who made them, they used good wood and lots of it. The walls are thick and the grain is nice and free of fills.

hmmm, looks close, but not quite right. I looked at all the crowns there and didn't find it....

Thanks for the link, though. I was looking for that earlier and couldn't find it

Well, it took awhile to get around to, but they are cleaned up now. Both smoke pretty well. The bulldog's draw is just a little tighter than what I would like, but not too bad.

Don't care where they were made. Nice hunks of briar in grand old traditional shapes. You've buffed them

up to perfection. Puff on.

Wow! Nice job. With those thick walls, and stubby profile, those will make some great outdoor pipes! Love the traditional designs.
