I got a Lakeland sampler pack from a friend.

Very impressed with Bob's Choco-Flake and Brown Flake Unscented.

Dude, did you even read any of my posts? I'm not here trash talking every Lakeland blend, in fact I love the genre! I've added several suggestions and I'm partaking in discussion. I'm here trying to be helpful and converse about the topic on hand.
Really, where do you come of asking me what I'm even doing in the thread?
People man!

Hawky, I was glad to see your input here, your recommendations are probably why I'm such a fan of lakeland blends!

BTW, +1 on G&H Kendal Flake.

Hawky, I've enjoyed reading you in every thread I've seen you in, and boy am I glad someone mentioned Bob's Chocolate Flake! I never thought of it as a Lakeland, but it is still delightful stuff. I don't take it as floral, not even really as "chocolate" tasting, but a delightful unique smoke nonetheless.

Whoa, ease up there Kanse. He's contributing. I've learned a lot about tobacco from Hawky, AND he has great taste in music.
Thanks, in part, to this thread I have Gawith Best Brown #2, Bosun Cut Plug Unscented, Bob's Chocolate Flake and Ennerdale Flake making their way to my house and bowl in the next day or two. Thanks Gents !!

Mayfair as you enjoyed the condor I'd say you will most likely enjoy your order. I'd also suggest giving Kendal Flake a whirl.

Hawky I have heard that GH made their honeydew as a tribute to the Gallaghers original.

Chill out guys, I was just implying that anybody uninterested in whiff of grandma, would not be smoking Lakes.

Don't get too offended about it.

I smoke them too.

It was someone else commented on Grandma's panties, Hawky quoted it in his comment. Perhaps you can "chill out" and read the entire thread.

I don't even wanna know how you know what your grannies underpants taste like.

I misread this as why you wanna know, apparently.

Offending anybody was not in my intentions, and I am hoping we don't have to delve too deep into this matter.

Kanse, it was obviously a joke a that flew over everyone's heads. As I reread it after your last post, I got it.

But, it's not just any grandma panties, it has to be a dead grandma's panties.
I like a few Lakelands as well, but the unscented ones and the ropes. Those that have tonquin, rose geranium, or anything like those two just don't appeal to me.
Yes, yes, I took the smackdowns in good humor for saying that Condor was a lakeland "technically." But, it is weird how the forum "consensus" changes. I only said that because I had posted that Condor wasn't a lakeland at one time, and then many folks that smoke it all the time said that it was... "technically." Ha ha, I am just riding the tides out here. As opinions seem to be swaying on stuff, next thing, everyone is going to start posting what a great the the FDA is doing. :puffy:

Okay, that's good to know, thanks! I trust GH&Co. did a faithful interpretation of it. I really think I would probably like it if it was in its original state. Like I said the company shipped it out to me bone dry (and I like smoking my tobacco dry) but it was really unacceptable and I wish I would have demanded a refund but it is what it is, I just don't do business with them anymore.
I mean it guys, you all really made my day with your kind words! It's been one of those weeks where life just seems to throw you sucker punches from every direction. My bulldog of 11 years is riddled with cancer throughout her lungs and spleen and my wife and I have to put her to sleep tomorrow so I'm probably a little more emotional than usual right now and your kind words really hit home. I learn a lot from you all as well and I wish we could all hang out and shoot the shit but this is the next best thing. You really can't beat the collective wisdom that these forums have to offer.
Cheers!

Very sad to hear that is happening Hawky, it is just like losing a family member. It took me a real long time to get over losing a pet of mine. Hang in there and just remember that no one truly loved is ever truly lost forever.

Thanks Toobfreak I really appreciate it and those are some wise words.
Cosmic thank you for pointing that out, I completely missed that and now that I re-read it I understand that it is clearly a misunderstanding and Kanse I apologize for being so defensive, I absolutely interpreted your post the wrong way and when read in context is actually quite funny, sorry hombre.
I'm totally still flattered to know you guys got my back though! Cheers to all and again I sincerely apologize for disturbing the peace.

You have nothing to apologize for, circumstances being as they are. Sorry about the dog.
Not to deviate from topic too far, my tight-airway Forsetti can handle Lakelands on an acceptable level apparently, which is great, I guess the tight draw can let the strong topping through.
