Never been a big fan of Werner Mummert's post modern approach to pipe design, but for some reason, I really want one of these. Sort of reminds me of the alien probe from Star Trek IV.

This literally reminds me of a corncob pipe, I made with my niece.
But honestly it's a interesting design for a pipe.

I hadn't thought of that! With all the fuss about the MM corn wasps, a horizontal cob would lend itself perfectly to this design!

chasing, are you sure that's not a musical instrument? No, I really like Mummert's designs. Some of his pipes are overweight, but you can't beat them for originality.

I really like how the stem can be stored within the pipe's cooling chamber. May try contacting him about a commission piece.

A fascinating piece of engineering. Hope I used that word correctly. The pipe doesn't fit my eye, but it sure holds it.

A few of his pipes have caught my eye but the slot work look ragged and sloppy in every listing I've seen on SP. I've not seen one of his pipes in person. I like his designs but am put off (again) by his bold logo's.
Anyone have one of his pipes?
