Milder and sweeter than what?
There are probably 3,247 blends that would fall in that category.

One of my all time favarites is Fribour & Treyer Cut Virginia Plug. It is a flake tobacco not a plug, it is mild and real sweet, it can be had at http://www.marscigars.com/fandt-cutvirginiaplug.aspx.
Also Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake and Astleys 109 are sweet and not too strong. They can be had at,

Check out http://www.boswellpipes.com
The Boswells blend by hand at their location and some are very sweet tasting.

Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice. I have even dedicated an SH pipe to it. Love it when I'm in the right mood.
Cheers,
J

It all depends on what flavor and how much you want to spend. Peterson has some great ones, as does frog Morton and even dunhill. All depends on your price range. Www.pipesandcigars.com is a great site with great prices and a good selection, but around here the sky is the limit. Any specifics you'd like in a sweeter tobacco?

If you want a milder and sweeter tobacco than non-aromatics, I would suggest Pease's Virginia Cream. Is full virginia flavor with the lightest brush of vanilla. It's like smoking pure Virginia in a pipe that normally smokes Vanilla.

"Mild" is a matter of personal tolerance for nicotine. And "sweet" could mean natural tobacco sweetness or the addition of toppings associated with sweet desserts.
I consider a pure Va flake like Dunhill's both mild and sweet. In fact I find it sweeter to the taste than any aro I have ever smoked.

I find Virginia Cream rather strong and harsh compared to the above-mentioned Dunhill Flake, and the casing is so heavyhanded with VC that I get no Va taste at all, just a cloying dose of bourbon. And perhaps as a result of that, while the aroma may remind of something sweet to eat, I taste no sweetness in the smoke, whereas with the DF I do.

Lonote71, this is a very good aromatic.
Nording Hunter Blend Labrador is a typically Danish-styled aromatic blend, featuring wonderful bright Virginias mixed with mellow Burleys and rounded out by soft, sweet black Cavendish. The warm and comforting essences of caramel and hazelnuts add a subtle influence to the flavor and create an amazing room note.
I get it through P&C. You might give it a try. No bite, good flavor, and sweet in a great way.

As mentioned above, Boswell's tobaccos are hand-blended. The aros are really very, very good, and I'm not necessarily an aro smoker. Try Boswell's Best or Boswell's Premium Burley at: http://www.boswellpipes.com/tobaccoblends.html

In aromatic tobaccos, sweet has a thousand forms -- cherry, vanilla, caramel, apricot, plum, honey, chocolate, rum, whiskey, apple brandy, and 120 others. Wandering through online retail tobacco, it appears that aromatics are the majority of sales and somewhat drive the market. I'm mostly a non-aromatic smoker, but I know who's providing the revenue stream for the blenders I depend upon.

Though I have yet to try it, and I'm unsure as to whether you can even get it in the US, I've heard that Mac Baren's Original Choice is a great, mild, sweet baccy.
