Well I received the pipe and it looks great and timely delivery. Have not smoked it yet, a little too cold but should start warming up next week so I should get to try it soon.

Been working 10.5 days since I got this and have not tried it until today since i have 5 days off. The first smoke was better than I could have hoped, nice and dry. For my first meer, this could get to be bad for the PAD. I will be doing 2 bowels a day for a few weeks to get the coloring started. I will post a pic after that.

These discussions have me sprucing up my meers, and smoking them for the first time in decades. (I am a lapsed pipe smoker, took a 40 year hiatus. But back with fervor.)

Thanks and after my second bowl, I really like the Meer. Entirely different smoke than a briar. I did mess up and scorched the top of the bowl, which is probably a good thing, won't baby this pipe now.

Bahadir, Thanks for the post and yes, I am very happy. The pipe is very well made, easy to clean and the engineering it top rate. I am giving it a rest now and it is getting a little darker just sitting there. I really like that. The shipping was prompt and the purchase was hassle free. Lookin' good! Now if you raise the lighter/match/torch up a quarter inch or more, no more scorching rims!

Yea on the scorched rim. But then I was holding it by the stem to keep my oily fingers off of the meer stone. I have now realized that I want to enjoy the pipe, I just grab it and light up. It's made to be smoked and if it doesn't color perfectly, so be it.
