When I was young, I used a similar approach to deciding who to date. I'd ask the half dozen or so young ladies I favored to all fart while I was nearby so I could sniff their essence. After carefully evaluating the various aromas, I chose to date the one with the biggest tits. Well, actually, the one with the second biggest tits. Oh, it definitely does that. I got a morta from Andrey Kharitonov that seemed to match the Lovecraft theme and it's purple.

I don’t know why but i simply love the look of his purple pipes, can’t see myself smoking one, could be more something I’d put on a nice stand on my desk.

How prominent is the Latakia in Black Frigate? (Based off of the tin aroma).
I'm pretty sure it's only condimental ( is that a word? ) - does it over power everything else like you'd imagine Latakia to do?

I thought it was very much a key component but it didn’t overtake the others, but it was apparent on the nose In a balanced way. That said I think the tin only mentioned VA’s (and rum) but I knew my nose was not lying. I looked up a proper review and saw that there was Latakia and Turkish. If you are weary of Latakia I’d say it’s very much here but so balanced by other ingredients you may be able to enjoy it even if you dislike Latakia.

Sounds like it's worth a try for me, something to break up the usual routine.

I don't mind Latakia, just get bored if it is too prominent, so saying that, if you said it dominanted I'd have most likely given it a pass.

After C&D changed their presses, I've noticed less cohesion in their crumble cakes and Black Frigate had noticeably more of a latakia note. It was once very far in the background. Thankfully all of mine was purchased 1999-2014. Craig Tarler once made me a pound brick of it minus the latakia, and it was amazing.

Try em now then don't smoke em again for 2 or 3 weeks. Night and day difference. I let just about any tin I open rest for at least 2 weeks before smoking it. It's proven to benefit the tobacco almost every time

I typically let a freshly opened tin sit for about a week with the plastic lid on. Occasionally I'll pop it open and recluse it to let in fresh air. After a week or 2 I then jar it up.
