I finally got around to straightening up and organizing my tobacco cellar (thanks to acquiring an antique chest of drawers) and see that I may have purchased more Esoterica/Germain stuff over the years than I thought. My local Tinder Box would get some in, I'd buy some, repeat...you get the picture. I have tons of other stuff, too, but I was surprised at how much of this I actually have. The most I have of a single blend in a tin is the Germain's Plum Cake (5), while I have no more than 2 of any blend in the bag. So I guess I didn't go too overboard on any one blend anyway.

Lesson learned: Pay attention more to my own cellar. I just may have more than enough.

Nothing I'd smoke but if you love them, nothing overboard ab I don't think I've had anything by Esoterica/Germain that was bad or I didn't at least like. Some I downright love.
I mean, I haven't had a BAD blend by Germain's yet. Some of these I absolutely do love--the Dorchester, Woodbridge, Pembroke, Special Latakia flake, etc. I don't see myself worrying about Tilbury, Scarborough, or the Royal Jersey stuff when it's gone, though.

I had a similar experience when I packed up my cellar for the move to Oregon.
I had bags of Esoterica blends in this closet and that closet and was stunned to find that I had 58 of them, with 16 of them being Stonehaven. I thought I had 3 or 4 bags of that at most.

And I wonder why I can’t get any Stonehaven 🤣.

Filmguerilla (or anyone)--have you tried the Germain Dark Cavendish? I haven't heard much about that one.
I have smoked a couple tins of it. I really like it. Has a sweet, fermented type of flavor with a hint of a fig-like topping (or maybe a natural result of the process, etc.). I've heard people say it's made in the old British style around the world wars. The latakia blend is my favorite in the Jersey line, though.
