My first pipe was a plastic pink bubble pipe
And before that, it was probably kicked off by another fleshy, pink, bubble like thing that was even better. We're likely all secretly chasing a deeper experience but don't quite know it.

But, hey, at least you're not huffing on cigars and all the deep seated trauma that hobby entails... Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I'm not up on my licorice medical research, but you have to be careful. A lot of warnings are generated by one study, and some of those aren't rigorously peer reviewed. It's just newsworthy when someone says in print that licorice leads to heart attacks. I used to do a lot of science writing, so I'm cautious and skeptical.

Apparently black liquorice can lead to heart attacks.
If it's in the shape of a pipe as well. Oh my goodness !
I just heard about that the other day.
The example of it being fatal was a guy eating about a pound of Licorice every day for 10 days straight, and it stripped his body of Potassium, leading to heart failure.
So if you're low on Potassium then I can see it being something to avoid, otherwise normal people eating normal amounts of candy are fine.

I've heard of Scandinavian salt liquorice, but never tried it.
I think I'll give it a go, especially if it comes in the shape of a pipe ?
Be warned; it's an acquired taste. We used to get it in my London office when visited by Scandinavian clients or some of our staff had been visiting them. Most people in the office hated it (which was great, all the more for me :) )
