Switching around seems to be the norm here as well. I remember reading a post a few months ago that suggested keeping a log book, (notes) on pipes, tobaccos and comments. I am starting to realize how important this tip can be. I plan on starting to keep track of what I smoke and how enjoyable I find a particular tobacco, and if it is better in certain pipes. At this time, I do have favorites that are always in my rotation, but I also know sometimes a smoke is more enjoyable than at other times.
This post is rambling, (sorry about that) but maybe keeping good notes will help myself, and others get the most out of each bowl.

Man, I sit in front of spreadsheets all day at work, the last thing I want to do is turn my hobby into something that resembles work! Also, I'm just not that organised. The best I can do is write the date on the tins or jars I have in my meagre cellar, beyond that it may be just out of my reach.
