Lockdown here lasted a week then back to work.
I always make the same resolution each year -- to keep breathing!
I'd like to have more smoking sessions like the one I just enjoyed in the garage: first, a catch-all blend of mild stuff in an absolutely huge Brog pipe (it is enormous); then Old Ironsides in an Armellini. Scotch blend to drink. A good book on the ethics of artificial intelligence (really). I can't wait to try all the tins on their way to me; I'll smoke myself silly. Best possible 2021 to all.
I hope to, at least once, experience that unspeakable joy of discovering an amazing but forgotten pipe in an antique store, while holding a good cup of to-go coffee in my hand. Then, if it's not asking too much, I hope for the hours later that evening to research and clean said pipe, while smoking some McClelland and drinking a Black IPA. I'm not picky at all!
I also plan on reading more books for entertainment purposes. I used to be a voracious reader when I was younger and the pipe is a good excuse to read.
I hope thin the herd by 100 pipes.
I hope to expand my cellar from a couple of tins and start ageing a few blends! Hoping the crazy plain packaging law doesn't put a damper on my plan ?

I hope my wifes spousal visa comes in and is finished by June. Also, to stock up on blends that I like for the cellar.
I hope to be in an actual pipe store and buy a really nice pipe I can hold in my hands before buying. Maybe one in Italy? And then smoke that pipe after a day or wandering the streets or Rome or a town in Tuscany and a great meal - without a mask or any fear or catching a fatal disease.

Totally agree. Virtually nothing in the entire NY metro area. That’s why I will need to go to Italy or London - pipes will be special occasion travel gifts to myself.
Stop buying pipes and tobacco. One can hope anyway. I've only bought one pipe so far...
I’ve started shopping around for one. Undecided on what stem to start out with. Do you have a preference? Any recommendations on bowls?
I like the straight stem with the std mouthpiece. I have brown and aluminum color. As far as bowls, I would approach them the same as I would regular all briar pipes. Depends on the cut of your preferred leaf, and the length of smoke you want. Although standard bowls don't have large tobacco capacity, I would recommend having a bantam bowl or two to try new blends and for flakes. People who own meerschaum bowls seem to love them. Enjoy!
I hope to fill the last couple of holes in my cellar. I have 2 or 3 blends in mind that I would like some more of to be comfortable. My cellar is already in shape to sustain me in the event of an online sales apocalypse, but checking these last couple of boxes will allow me to truly laugh at it if it happens
