Ahh uber.

Being afflicted with PAD and TAD can be a trying thing for sure. An affliction sure to test the willpower of all so smitten.
Focus on a goal is the only defense from fiscal ruin that works for me in battling this thing we embrace, this way of the pipe.
To wit;

I only purchase tobacco once I've put aside $100 for it in my checking acct. This so as to get the free shipping!

I will only purchase a pipe if I've funds in my Baccy Bank to cover the cost. The Baccy Bank, empty PA tub with a slot in the top for loose change currently has $31.65 in it. I counted it a few days ago. Gonna be awhile afore my next pipe purchase )-:
I'm sure we all can identify (-;

And here we find the reason I'm a coupon goddess! I spent only $275 on food/toiletries for a family of 5 for 7 days today - and my kids are on a special diet. :D Mommy needs a little wiggle room in the budget.

I know how you feel! I currently have more pipes, than the number of times I've even smoked a pipe. I'm already thinking about another lol. Also planning on getting some new tobaccos to try. I'm enjoying PAD and soon TAD, and it hasn't taken me long to see where the terms have come from lol.
I am responsible with my money. I'm cheap but I'm beginning to spend a bit more on things that aren't necessary. I'm at the point where if I want something, and have the money, I buy it. That money could always go somewhere more "responsible" but if bills are paid and foods on the table the heck with it. It's silly to spend a large majority of your life at work, earning money, if you can't put some of it towards enjoyment.

well I work full time as a mechanic. It pays the bills cares for the family etc. I also run a small business from my home and I pull a little of that off the top each time I make a sale, repair etc. So home is good, business is growing and pad and tad are as satisfied as possible. But yeah even I twitch at the bay.

I just wish I had $275 to by a week's worth of groceries. That amount is more than we have to spend in 2 months here for a family of three.

We are preparing for a move to town from our country home to be closer to my work and the doctor and hospital for my wife, who has health problems. A neighbor lady is helping us pack and she thinks I have completely lost my mind because of the quantity of jarred tobacco I have stored in the house. She has not even gotten into my tins yet. She's a cigarette smoker and I guess assumes that pipe tobacco is like cigs in that you pick one brand and then buy a carton or a few packs. I have no idea what the total poundage would be but so far we have three pretty good sized boxes of jars. TAD has hit me hard in my years of smoking!
