I was meandering the forums and your pipe caught my eye. I have the “same” Luigi Viprati 4 clover pipe - early 90’s. I too loved the Italian flare, shape, curve, etc. it’s been a great smoker so far, still breaking it in - I found this beauty earlier in 2024. And yes, the drought hole is curved, centered to the bottom of the chamber. A work of art.

Thats a beauty. Mine isnt drilled in the center. I dont smoke it super often. Its pretty big but I like it. That Pipe os about as far out as I go. Ive been eyeing Danish and German pipes lately.

@morescnj I checked my pipe today. You are correct. While the draft hole is not in the center of my pipe it is in that general direction. About half way between the side and the center.

I have a Il Duca that is center drilled. Its a bit of a nusiance but if I use a few meer chips in the bowl it doesnt get clogged.
