Nothing special but ive wanted a Peterson System pipe for awhile. Years ago I had several given to me, but like a dummy I traded and gave them all away.
I really didn't see much difference between the Standard and the Deluxe...as far as I care about anyways.....so I went with this rusticated XL315 P-Lip. There was only a $10 difference between the rusticated, the sandblasted and the smooth. I really dig their rustication, so I got it. I think it's neat they put the year it was made on them now.
Unfortunately it's raining for the next few days, but I'll get to smoking it tomorrow probably.
Here's a horrible picture from a dark room. :)

Yours is a bit newer and shiner than mine, it’s a great pipe and you will love it.

I really like the rustication. If I am going to own a Peterson, it will be a system from now on. I own 2. A Christmas Copper Spigot (Not a sytem) and PPN POY 309 Silver Spigot.

I have had a system pipe that was acrylic and it was not comfortable. For me, I will not buy a Peterson System that is acrylic. I would buy another system with a vulcanite stem though.

Your new Peterson is mighty fine. Enjoy those smokes 😎

I much prefer Vulcanite too.
But they only had this shape with Acrylic. I really wanted this shape and finish.
