So what makes the bottom LH one the best smoker
Well for one thing, with that knurl on the bottom and its oval shape, it fits my largish hands perfectly, second, it smokes very dry, no gurgle at all, even when i get it a little too hot, It also smokes and burns evenly, all the way down to the bottom, and ive tried several different tobaccos.
Its just a great one, the others are fantastic, dont get me wrong, that one is as close to perfect as i have come so far, thats all

Nice score. I own 3 Boswells which I bought new. You probably have $400-$600 worth of pipes in the picture. Hope you got a sweet deal!

That is a great set! What are the year stamps?

Boswell uses lucite stems, so a little plastic polish by hand would get those stems back to their proper black and shiny state. (Meguiars or Blue Magic, any autoparts store)

The years go from 1996 to 2000 i believe, These al have vulcanite stems, it must be before they started to ony use lucite, they are definitely oxidizing

Boswell makes wonderful pipes. I've owned three over the years and they are always light, well balanced, drilled well, and smoke like champs. Enjoy your Boswells.

It took me years to build a collection of that many quality pipes. Nicely done, my friend.
