I got 5 new (to me) Boswells!

These are pipes that i bought very inexpensively off of a good friend, they are all beautiful and smoke better than I ever could have imagined

That one on the bottom left is the best smoker I have ever had, I love the shape with that extra knurl under the shank, and I couldnt be happier

Haha, yes, im trying to break them in one per day, the previous owner was one of those rare few that was able to keep his pipes as brand new as you can, while smoking them hundreds of times. He reamed to wood, and you wood be hard pressed to tell they were used other than the stems, which are slightly oxidized.
And you really dont want to know what I payed, you would all turn green

The uniqueness of the Boswell pipes always catches my eye. The partial rustication on the top left really looks cool. The one on the bottom right looks a bit clunky, but I can't stop looking at it; its probably my favorite of the five. Great score!

That bottom right is actually the second smallest following the one in the top middle, bad photography on my part

Apologies, I need to be more specific. I was referring more to the shape than the size. How do the ridges on that pipe (bottom right) feel in the hand?

They seem to be actually knurled to fit the left hand perfectly, If I was asked to recommend one pipe brand to someone who wanted a very good pipe, I would recommend Boswell, they sell pipes for way less than they are worth. I have now had the pleasure of smoking 7 Boswells, One which i broke (so sad about that) and one that i have given to a good friend.

That's more or less what I assumed. May not look quite right to my eye, but it does look like it would fit in the hand just right. One of those unique features that make Boswell pipes so special. Wonderful, enjoy!
