I got one tin, I was going to age it for a while, but damn all this talk. I might have to crack it.

I'm old, on disability, and have nothing in this world but time... time... time. Trust me, if you like esoterica, have no family, and no job, you seek pleasure anywhere you can find it ;)
You guys got the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory thing right? Cause otherwise you'll think I'm insane... which I am, but not for the reason you think if you missed the reference :)

I haven't tried any of the Esoterica tobaccos. In my quest to keep this hobby frugal, I must say that bulk offerings from McClelland or Cornell & Diehl keep me satisfied. I'd gladly try Penzance or ASTB if offered, but it's hard for me to fathom what could make them worth paying that much more for them when other solid options are sufficient.

Hey Nate oink oink! Lol I wouldn't have a need for any other tobacco at that point.... Stonehaven is the good stuff, but I prefer the carter hall or captain black in abundance.

Okay whew :) yeah yeah I'm a pig, I know, but have a good excuse! Does Peck have one? ;) is there not anyone here who loves Penzance who'd resist the chance to buy it at retail had you the time?
I can't help it. My name is Nate and I have a Penzance problem :(

I buy 8oz bags for $40. That's $5 an oz, and a tin of anything else would be about $6-8 an oz. So, Penzance is priced at a value, IMO. But, some buy it on ebay at much higher. But, that's their prerogative. I find that being patient fits my budget better.
But, a little birdie told me just an hour ago that this blend may become less hard to get... after the hoarders have done pillaging the market soon. It has slowly been becoming available at closer intervals, so maybe this birdie knows something, maybe he just a damned ol' bird. We'll see...

Yeah regular retail price can't blame you there. Very tasty stuff but not manly enough for me. Although it's a blend that I smoke and almost convince myself that penzance is the only blend I am smoking now.

Nate - looks to me like you've got a horrible shortage of Stonehaven.....which is twice as good as Penzance anyway.
P.S. - if people find Germain's Brown Flake - buy it. I just opened my first tin of the stuff and it's instantly a top 10 blend for me. I could see it hitting my top 3 after I've had some more sittings with it.

You all do know of course, Nate is Germain's . . . sufficed to say, the particulars are spoken of only in hushed tones by ladies on the Blackpool beach. Penzance being over rated what with the yachts and no roller coaster.

Ok we get it... You hate penzance.

I have a small hoard, 42 8oz bags. And it's not even that great of a tobacco...
What to do...
